Tips for the Big Day

  • Ensure your NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage) is completed as soon as possible. You need to give 1 month and 1 days notice. Should anything unforeseen occur you know you can bring the wedding forward if needed.

  • A rehearsal is important to ensure that everyone in the wedding party knows what to do and where to stand on the day. It is also a good practice for you to know what to expect.

  • Get a good night sleep the night before, it's going to be a big day.

  • Make sure you have a good breakfast, as it may be the only main meal you have during the day.

  • Drink plenty of water and have some snacks to keep your energy levels up.

  • Take time out before the ceremony to relax and calm your nerves.  Take a walk, sit quietly and read a magazine or watch some TV.

  • The Groom and his attendants to arrive approx 45 minutes early to ensure everything is ready for the guests to arrive.

  • Check who has the rings and that they have them on arrival at the ceremony. Don't wait until the Bride arrives.

  • Make sure the Bridesmaids have tissues and lipstick for the Bride.  She'll want to touch up her "lippy" for the photos.

  • It's your special day, make sure you enjoy every moment, as it will go by very quickly!
